Personal Childhood Web

Growing up as a child, I must say that my childhood was very good.  I had a great support system, and people in my corner who truly cared about me.  My mom and dad did their absolute best when it came to raising me. My mom and dad were both "old school".  My dad was a very fun man, who always told jokes. He was a very loving man, and even though he didn't tell me everyday I knew he loved me to pieces.  He had his little girl spoiled rotten.  I miss him more than I lead on, but I know that he would have been pleased with the choices that I am making with my life.  My mom has always been supportive.  She is a very carefree loving woman.  If I told her I wanted to join the circus, she would be the first person at my show! Knowing that she is always in my corner no matter what, makes me believe that I can do anything.  They taught me how to be the strong independent woman that I am today.  My Grandma also played an important role on who I am.  She always wanted the best for me, and she was always there whenever I needed it.  I miss her so much, but I know that she is smiling down upon me as I am still writing the story of my life.  The next person who is apart of my web is my cousin Nicole.  She is the sister I never had.  No matter what I do, this girl has supported me.  Most importantly, if she thought I was getting off track, she quickly gave me her input.  Nicole is smart, witty, and fun but most of all she is my best friend. We are two peas in a pod! Last but not least is God.  Early in my life my parents instilled in me that all things are possible with the Lord; that is a value that remains with me today.  I know that God has called me to be a great teacher, and without him none of my professional experiences or opportunities would have been available.  So I give thanks to Him. My web is not perfect, but the support I receive from my family cannot be any better.  As I continue my journey of life, I take it a step at a time.  I try to do these that are pleasing in the eyesight of my family.  However, my family taught me that as long as I am happy, then everything else will follow suit.  I have lost a lot of love ones in my life, but that has only made me a stronger woman today.  I try to do the things that my family did not have the opportunity to do.  Hence, I am a first generation student on my mom's side of the family, and now I am pursuing my Master's.  Nothing is impossible, as long as one is willing to work, possibilities are endless.
